• Families interested in a female Golden need to live in our surrounding area (less than one hour away) and male guardian homes need to live locally (Walla Walla, Milton-Freewater, Touchet area).

​

• Must be in a stable living situation with no intentions of moving within the next 5 years.

​

• Must be able to financially afford the demands of responsible dog ownership such as, but not limited to, providing quality dog food, routine and emergency veterinary care, grooming and basic obedience training.

​

• Need to own or rent a home that accepts large (60 - 70 lbs) dogs.

​

• Yard needs to be a safe outdoor environment that is free from potential injury or poison hazards and escape proof. 

​

• Owning an intact dog of the opposite sex of the guardian dog is not allowed and other family pets/dogs cannot be aggressive in nature. 

​

• Willing to teach the puppy basic commands such as sit, down, come, off, leave it and stay. Work towards earning his/her Canine Good Citizen (10 step basic obedience test) before the puppy is 2 years old. 

​

• Guardians need to be willing to invest time, energy and training into their furry family member. Goldens are very loyal and desire love and affection from their families!

​

• Comply with all terms in the contract (specific contract details available upon request).
