Frequently Asked Questions

Is a deposit required to reserve a puppy?

Yes, once one of our females comes into heat we begin contacting families on our Puppy Waitlist. If a family wants to be placed on our Preferred Family Waitlist they can place a $300 deposit, which goes towards the purchase price. Families on our Preferred Waitlist will receive weekly emails to help prepare them to bring home their new puppy, opportunity to get pregnancy updates, and weekly photo/video updates of the litter. Deposits are none refundable. We reserve the right to return a deposit for any reason if we feel that a home is not suitable. Check our "Upcoming Litters" page for up to date information on available litters.

Our puppies are very special to us and a part of our family. We want the very best for them and take a lot of care in picking homes for them. If for some reason you are not able to keep your puppy/dog we require that you inform us and give The Sayler Farm first right of refusal.

We reserve the right to choose a puppy or puppies  from all of our litters. We do not plan on keeping a puppy/puppies from each litter but reserve the right to if we choose to at that time. We want the very best for our puppies.

It is very important to us to keep our puppies healthy and prevent diseases being introduced to them before they are old enough to have their first vaccines. We ask that all visits be prearranged to protect our dogs and your future puppy. We are happy to arrange virtual (FaceTime, Zoom ect.) puppy visits with families anytime.

Our goal is to raise healthy, well socialized puppies. It is very important that our puppies stay with their mother and litter mates until 8-10 weeks of age.

Yes, we microchip all of our puppies before they are adopted. In case of an emergency, The Sayler Farm will remain a contact on all of our puppies microchips in order to keep 100% of our puppies/dogs out of shelters. This protects a dog from accidentally or purposefully being placed in a shelter. We need to be able to be notified so we can go and rescue the puppy/dog from a shelter should the owner not be reachable.

We feel that dogs who are sprayed or neutered make the best pets and prevent unwanted pregnancies. All puppies will be sold with AKC Limited Registration. If a family is wanting Full Registration and breeding rights we can discuss it together. *In special cases we do allow puppies to be purchased with Full registration for an additional cost.

We accept cash or payment through Good Dog for the deposit and final payment of a puppy. We are not able to accept deposits or payments via PayPal or Venmo due to their policy of no pet sales. Thank you for understanding!

No, we do not ship our puppies. We feel it is very important to meet our new puppy families in person and spend time explaining how the puppy was raised, demonstrating such things as toe nail clipping, grooming, clicker training ect. We spend about 45 mins - an hour with each family at pick up time. We are flexile with pick up date and understand it can be difficult to arrange flights ect. Because we have a small airport in Walla Walla we offer to met families at the Pasco, WA. airport (an hour away from Walla Walla) for a puppy pick up. We have had many families fly in to pick up their pup and then return home with the puppy in the cabin with them. We also feel like the stress of ground transportation or being flown in cargo is unneeded on such a young puppy and we want the transition from our family to yours to go as smoothly as possible.
